The National Testing Agency (NTA) has invited online applications for the UGC NET December 2026 Examination for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Assistant Professor eligibility. NTA UGC NET December 2026 : Eligibility Criteria
🎓 Educational Qualification
- Candidates who have passed or are appearing in a Master's degree or equivalent examination in the relevant subject may apply, subject to the eligibility conditions.
- General category candidates generally require at least 55% marks in the Master's degree.
- Candidates belonging to eligible reserved categories generally require at least 50% marks, as per applicable rules.
- Candidates with a four-year / eight-semester Bachelor's degree may also be eligible under the applicable UGC NET rules. The separate eligibility conditions for JRF and Assistant Professor must be checked carefully.
- Candidates should check the subject requirements, qualifying degree, relaxation rules and other conditions in the official notification.
